During our one-night stay while heading from Troyes to Orléans, we found the hotel centrally located within the village, making it conveniently accessible. Despite the restaurant and bar being closed on our visit, the nearby Rapid Market provided a practical alternative, selling a variety of essentials, including fresh fruit and drinks. This allowed us to utilize the hotel’s microwave and enjoy a simple meal in the garden—a rudimentary but pleasant experience. The room itself was clean and featured a separate shower and toilet, adding a touch of convenience. The staff, while not fluent in English, were friendly and eager to assist. While amenities like a terrace and garden furniture were available, the limited dining options detracted from what could have been a more luxurious experience. Ultimately, La Madeleine represents a sensible choice for those prioritizing value without excessive luxury, particularly when one considers its ease of access and the basic, yet adequate, facilities provided.
